I use top-quality MoGas when operating from my home base. I have been doing this for many years. It is rare to find MoGas when traveling so I use 100LL then. Still, around 90% ends up being MoGas. It has 10% Ethanol in it, which has not been a problem.
This is my replacement digital tach. The original didn't seem to work very well... This digital tach is lighter and mounts in the 3-1/8 inch hole in the panel.
Congratulations Ian - what a Xmas present for you. Hope to see you round the country 2011.I should be able to join you in the air for next summer - Sportavex perhaps?
I am also in Blenheim, emigrated from South Africa last year, but brought my plans with - awesome to know there is a 601 here and would like to have a look at some stage?
Regards

Hi Ian
I was just doing my morning perusal of this site and saw your pics so I decided to have a look. On close inspection, I noticed that you have the composite gear so I looked at the rest of your pics to get some more info but could not find any. Is your plane a USA or a European ULM variant? Either way, do you have some installation photos and details of your composite gear and brakes that you can share. Many of us guys have wanted to install the Comlet composite gear to regain some useful load and a more forward C of G but no one has shared the structural mods for a two piece gear install with us.
Hello Ian,
I add a new picture of my bird, you can see, a little bit more, my undercarriage.
When i purchase my plane, this legs are on.
If you need more info, send your questions ;-)
Best Regards
Hervé
Ian welcome to the group..
now we should call it the Zenith ANZAC group.
You should get the other Zenith builders over there in the land of the long white cloud to join as well.
Chris.

Hello Ian,
I have about 70 hours on my CAMit engine. So far, it is running just fine. Head bolts don't move when checked.
