Couple of questions.. RPM, amps and ECU ground

I have not started the engine yet, I am wiring up all the electronics before I can close our my avionics bay, I have a bit more work on plumbing the gasoline, so I can't start until I do.Is there anyway to verify the RPM is wired correctly without getting the engine fully started? Will it read during cranking? How Can I tell if the ECU is on? While the ECU had a power lead, I don't find a ground lead. Is this connected directly to the pre-wired part in the engine? Also I wired the AMP shunt for…See More

Installing Dynon EFIS EMS Oil Pressure sensor

While the Viking View looked really cool, but I don't have the panel space for it so I using the DYNON EMS system on my HDX and I am trying to find out how best to install the Oil Pressure Sensor. There appears to be a Honda Oil Pressure Sensor on the Viking 130 already in the slot, but not electrically connected. I already have purchased a sensor from Dynon.Questions:1. Can the Dynon EMS read the Honda Sensor?2. If not how do I adapt the Dynon sensor to the Honda Port?…See More

How long did you have to wait for registration?

I send it my registration forms with the notarized ownership, bill of sale from Zenith, etc. for registering my 750 Cruzer with a previously reserved N-number.Has anyone done this recently, and how long did it actually take for the FAA to complete the registration?I know I can search the on-line data based for the documents, and for the registration database, and the EAA recommending doing it 3 months ahead of when its needed, but what is the real world turn around recently?ThanksJonathanSee More

When my family outgrew a Cessna P210, my mission for flying changed. I got plans for an RV-8, but built and observatory instead. I took a number of years off flying full sized airplanes and build a number of scale and aerobatic R/C aircraft, may of my own design. Now that my son is 16 I wanted to finally check off building a airplane from my bucket list.
