Landing day after a large ice storm with stiff x-wind. Pulle to the right, went into snow bank and nosed over. Totaled. Weird feeling hanging upside down, smell of fuel everywhere, pilot door jammed shut...very disorienting. Would have been a poor outcome if on floats in cold water.

When I was a kid, flying one day with my dad and a friend of his, we did this as well. I remember the runway ( grass ) was wet and had apparently iced over. We slid right to the end, hit the snow, and over we went. Nobody hurt thank goodness. It was 40 years ago, so nobody ask me the particulars!  Hahaha.

I'm fine...just my pride is hurt. I think it was a combination of factors....poor x-wind landing technique, 14 k x-wind, ice and snow on a 50 ft runway and good size drifts to the side. Challenge yourself and get out flying as much as you can...mistakes are going to happen..just hopefully not to the extent of mine.

Winter flying does have its risks.....hopfully you are ok.  Thanks for posting - I need to reassess my "winter icy runway" capabilities......

No time for a go around, or another airport with better wind / runway conditions?  I hope everyone is ok!
