A belated thankyou Tom for your suggestions re the firewall nose wheel linkage boots – and photos, much appreciated. Looks like a nicely fitting option.

I am sorry to be slow in replying, had an unexpected problem with my mother-in-laws health just after I raised the question, she has since passed away – funeral and aftermath now all over, so only just putting my plane back on the “menu”!

I saw an interesting option the other day on a passing 601 – the builder used material cut from a fireman’s coat for the boots – so now to find a fireman who won’t miss a bit of coat!!

Hi Tom,

My wife and I met you and yours at the Zenith event in Zephyrhills prior to Sun'n Fun this year. Stan and Nancy from near Greenville, SC. I have my rudder almost complete...been a busy summer with a lot of other stuff going on. I remember you riding a Beemer. I sold the R75/6 and replaced it with a 2005 R1200GS. Hoping to do some serious miles next spring/summer.

Your 701 is looking great. I just finished the Rotax training classes at Lockwood in Sebring, FL last week. Very good stuff.

Good luck with your 701, will look forward to seeing it finished and flying.

Will have to talk via email as I'm in Kuwait but hope to be home the later part of Feb for a couple of weeks and fly-in at 12 Oaks. When we get closer to Feb I'll let you known when i'll be home and invite you up to our fly-in which will be the last Saturday in Feb.

We have another member/buider, Joe Aloof in Dunellon so look him up as well. Good guy and has done a great job on his 701 and is in the process of putting a corvair engine on.
