Leo, sorry to hear about your window. In case you are wondering. I must tell you that I have had a great time flying mine. -solid, predictable and forgiving flight characteristics.

i forgot to mention ..the crack is out of sight as it runs parallel to the wing carry through above the pilots head. Did i  forget to mention this my second windshield. The first one I dropped and put a much bigger crack in it.

Shop was nice and warm, Acrylic drill bits were used. Not sure what i would have done different. Anyways, build continues and the window will remain on the plane but I am thinking of going with a heavier strip of allum across the top.

Are you using the right type of drill bit? Feel your pain, been there and suffered with you (twice).

As Bob said the room must be warn and you need a second person the be there to move it on and off don't try moving it by yourself.

"CRAP" Did you have the shop real warm? Shop and windshield need to be around 85 degrees over night. In Canada this time of year more shops are cool. Suggest you stop drill the crack and move forward with the build if its just of a minor nature.
