New to site. How can i add a couple of inches forward positioning of the rudder pedals for more comfort? Add turnbuckles on the pedal end and shorten nose wheel rods? Any suggestions without running new, longer cables? I will have the plane apart doing upgrades and thought this might be a good time to do so.

the cables wont grow. you need to cut the rods, move the foot pedals forward where you want them, without having them rub the fire wall. then put two new cables, (or) splice a peice on. refer to the FAA repairman's manual for cable splicing. Perfectly legal if done correctly.

JAMES: One can add a short piece of flat bar between the rudder pedal and the rudder cable turn buckle. Just drill the holes the same distance apart you move the rudders forward

A brief note about blogs:
Blogs are best used as a "journal" especially when photos are included as part of the blog post.
If all you want to do is ask a question (and solicit responses), please use the Discussion Forums for this instead of the blog posts.
For technical model-specific questions (discussions), we recommend that you start a new discussion under the model group, such as Zodiac or STOL CH 750. This will keep discussions (questions and answers) relevant to all members, and will make it easier to archive and access your post in the future.
