The 3M Marine Sealant Adhesive 5200 is as sticky as fly paper, and as thick as tooth paste (don't mix up the two!). You apply a skin of 3M on both the inside float skin and bulkhead before riveting..the 3M squirts through the rivet holes getting into everything but my hair. Gums up the clecos and rivet gun. Soaking the clecos in Acetone cleans them up..but the whole process is a messy affair.

Doug, actually pro seal can be cleaned with acetone if you get at it before it sets up. We riveted and prosealed all our fuel tanks, so very familiar with that product. Great stuff, will stick to ANYTHING,

Might be messy but at least it's not proseal, that stuff is supposed to immune to almost any cleaner.
