Put on some tape to mark reference lines for flaperon deflection with flaps up and flaperons aligned with top of wing in "zero" deflection position. After a couple of hours, I now have suitable deflections with flaps up or down, fairly symmentrical (within a degree best I can measure) but do get about 17 degrees of flaps down. Unable to shorten vertical control rods any further. Ideally, to make this control rigging really easy, one should fabricate control rods with adjustable ends with opposite cut threads (like a turnbuckle). Might do so over the winter, but will have to cut hole in bottom of fuselage to extract/insert vertical control rods...undecided at this point.

Sorry, I was thinking that the flapperon controls were accessible from the top window.  The top window is prone to cracking, so Beware...   (s/stop/stol/g)

Confused...?

Or wait until the top plex cracks and you want to replace it. Both the One Week Wonder and the EAA Employee CH-750 STOP have had their top windows replaced. :-(

Thanks for this, David. I'm sort of experiencing the same uneven flaperon  travel but will live with it for now. Still many things to do first. Tom
