I finally figured out the rear gear channel goes on the outside of the belly skin and the front goes inside the belly skin. Now it seems to fit much better but it took a while to see where I messed up. So far every time something did not fir properly, it turned out to by my fault. My 750 has not had any fitment issues yet.

Thanks for this. I'm having the same issue and just cannot find a drawing that clearly shows where the flanges go. I was wondering if its just the corner gussets at the rear side that should go above the flange. It makes sense for the flange to go over the rear skin so air 'does not catch'
