Kurt,

Yes all Viking, Jan Is a creative Guy and keeps improving engine design. My engine version contained plastic valve cover but cowl was designed for flat valve cover, so had to bump out left side of cowl. as shown in pictures.

Cowl trimming and fitting and how you attach is a every-man for himself sort of thing.

I've included some pictures of my partially done solution to the bump out, I will use more thin sheet metal to improve air flow on top of bump out, but you get the idea.

Are you using the Viking cowl? Mine is due with my engine & firewall fwd at the end of Oct.
