Hi Bob:) You will add 2 lb by using this system over the original bungee. Nobody is making any money here? This system is made as a retrofit to our Zenith STOL competition winner aircraft, to further enhance it's capabilities. We are sharing our ideas on this forum and making the system available to anyone that would like to have it. Testing has been about 2 x longer than our last bungee lasted. So far, so good.

How much heavier than the bungees is it? Life is full of compromises and this one looks like it may be a weighty decision.
Plus, I think you should be posting this in the classified ad area, not in a discussion or blog thread. If you were an individual builder showing off your alternative to the bungee that would be one thing, but you are a for profit corporation marketing this stuff for sale. My two cents........
Since you are a parts maker selling this stuff as a completed product, though -- how many landing cycles have the test examples been put through? How many drop tests at gross weight plus a pad for safety? How many were tested to destruction and what caused them to fail? A marketed part should have a pedigree. More two cents.
