Greetings from Scandinavia - I fly a Czhech built bird with curved side windows. I'd like to do some photography and have marked for a little photo window, I have to cut out. Only, I'm not quite sure how the double curved polycarbonate window will react tothis.

Also considered flying ophen. How easy is it to get the door on and off these looong piano hinges - And how is flying open when compared to flying with closed doors?

Hope for reactions on this

best
Claus

When flying open, do you have special arrangements for keeping cameras flying out?

Thanks a lot!! - Managed to do a slide window - had to cast composite frames, takes a long time but I enjoy such work. Will get some photos posted here after the weekend.

I would love the photos you suggest on how to remove doors. Up here in Northern Denmark, I guess flying open is a Summer thing, moist and cold winters might be hard on my body and instruments - or what?

BEST to have removable doors - promise (tried the window thing - not easy) . So remove the door - cut the spine in two. Remove two loops in the middle of the hinge. Bend one end of each spine to make a little handle and remount with a little silcone grease. Time to add and remove - about 5 minutes for both doors. Do it regularly for photo-video ops - ENJOY! Will get some pics at the weekend for you.
