Zenith Workshop at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

EAA AirVenture Oshkosh -- Zenith Aircraft Company will demonstrate kit airplane assembly during EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI July 24-30 2017.

Zenith staff and volunteers will assemble the rear fuselage assembly of the new Zenith CH 750 kits daily from 8:45 - 12:45 in the AeroPlane Workshop to demonstrate and teach visitors about the ease of building a modern kit aircraft.

We'll be demonstrating the basics of kit aircraft assembly every morning in the AeroPlane Hangar (the old north exhibit building) daily from 8:45 am - 12:45, introducing first time builders to the basics of aircraft homebuilding. We'll be assembling the rear fuselage every morning (and then disassembling it and starting over the next day). Zenith will be showcasing the new final hole size match drilled CH 750 fuselage kit that is now supplied ready for assembly out of the box.
Zenith buildersCome lend a hand and volunteer some time demonstrating basic kit assembly and sharing your aircraft building experiences!
Come to learn about the required tools and skills needed to assemble a Zenith kit aircraft. Take a look at the actual parts as supplied in the kit as well as the detailed assembly instructions. "First time builders are always surprised at how simple building an airplane has become."
"Our kits have really become a lot quicker and easier to build over the past few years and this is the best way to demonstrate this fact," explained Zenith Aircraft Company's owner Sebastien Heintz. "We invite everyone to come by and to take a look, and to experience first-hand what building an airplane is all about."

Earlier this year, Zenith staff led an inexperienced team (made up of interns, software engineers, and managers) from DS SolidWorks in assembling a Zenith kit at the SolidWorks headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts. Despite having no previous experience, the team made significant and impressive progress assembling the rear fuselage in just one day.

At Oshkosh AirVenture 2014, volunteers helped to build the One Week Wonder airplane in just seven days! A Zenith CH 750 kit was completed (with the help of 2,500 volunteers) during the week, including a Rotax engine and Dynon SkyView avionics installation.

Zenith Aircraft Company has been designing, developing, and manufacturing kit aircraft for 25 years(since 1992). They are centrally located within the United States in Mexico, MO. The Zenith aircraft models can be built from plans-only(blueprints), selected parts, or from complete kits. The company holds 2-day, hands-on workshops once a month at their factory to allow potential builders to gain building experience, tour the factory, and go up for a demo flight in the airplane. In addition to the monthly workshops, Zenith Aircraft holds an annual event, their Open Hangar Days.
