New Zenith Builder Assist Center to open near the factory in Mexico, MO.

Hey Everyone,

We spoke with so many of you both at the Zenith Workshops and at their Annual Open Hangar Day this year that I wanted to update you with what’s happening with our New Builder Assist Center.

It’s been unusually cold here in Missouri, home of Zenith Aircraft. The temperature this past weekend was 1 with the high of 12. Not exactly the best weather to be out in the garage building on your project.

Until now the only choices for builders during cold weather was to spend more money to warm your workshop, wait for warmer weather, or spend more money shipping your project somewhere far, far, away from the Zenith factory to work on your project.

As of January all of that will change.

First of all, American Light Sport Aircrafters (ALSA, that’s us) will open the doors to our facility here in Mexico, near the Zenith Factory.

For those of you whom we have not had the pleasure of meeting, let me just take a moment to tell you about us. Besides being business owners, we are pilots, and Zenith CH 750 builders ourselves, who will be offering services aimed specifically at the Zenith Aircraft line of airplanes, with emphasis on the CH 750, but we will be glad to offer space in our workshop to those working on other Zenith models.

Our facility is a spacious, nicely equipped shop that is both heated and air conditioned making it an ideal place to work on your project at any time of the year regardless of the weather. And Mexico, MO is located just off of I-70 between St Louis and Kansas City making it an easy choice if driving or flying in commercially. Another real convenience of our location is the proximity to the Zenith Factory which means easy access to parts and NO SHIPPING COSTS for you to get your kit to us from Zenith.

ALSA will offer builder assist on many levels, from space for those who just need a place and tools to work with, or some hands on help for those who would like assistance completing a component part, or the entire project. In addition we will be a supplier of Zenith Quick Build Kits, and help with Quick Build Components.

Continue to watch for more posts announcing our opening and a more complete list of services that we will be offering.

We will open officially this January 2011 and currently have space available for builder’s projects. Contact us soon to reserve your space.

Rebecca,

I assist at many of the Zenith Workshops and try to at least make an appearance at each workshop. How much time I spend depends on what else is happening, but I would be happy to make arrangements to meet with you and discuss your options in advance.

We are preparing to begin a "Tail Workshop" to go along with the Zenith Workshop to offer persons like you the opportunity to complete a larger section of their project before leaving and giving them a little more experience working on larger sections. Of course there is also the option of your just using our facility and tools to do the work on your own while you are here.

Of course we can help with getting them shipped to you when done also.

Please email me at Bill@LightSportAircrafters.com, or give me a call at 573-721-4400 at your convenience, and we can get something worked out to suit your desires.

Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.

Happy Holidays and stay warm.

Will you be at the rudder workshop in January?  I live in Minnesota,  but the idea of doing a portion of the build in a warmer climate with tools and everything available is attractive.  I'd have to ship things to MN eventually.

Sebastien,

As you know, the quality of the Zenith products made this an easy choice for us. Not to mention that being this close to you at the factory will be a definite advantage both for us and the customers.

Thanks for your support,

Happy Holidays to all.

Bill
