Online Community of Zenith Builders and Flyers
This year's events is scheduled for Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the factory located at Mexico Memorial Airport in Mexico, Missouri. All aviation enthusiasts, but especially builders and owners of Zenith Aircraft kit planes, are invited to drive or fly-in for the day. The Zenith Aircraft kit production facilities will be open for factory tours and Zenith's factory-demonstrator kit aircraft will be on display. Company staff will demonstrate kit production and fabrication techniques used in producing the all-metal kit aircraft parts made at the Zenith Aircraft factory.
Once again, we'll get started on Friday (September 17) afternoon with seminars. We're still working on the schedule but we plan to have some great new seminars of interest to builders, owners, and pilots. Back by popular demand, we've also scheduled an informal Zenith Builder Banquet (dinner and social gathering) on Friday evening. As in years past, we request that you RSVP for the Friday activities to help us accommodate all visitors (we'll have an RSVP form available as soon as we finalize the schedule).
There is no charge to attend the Open Hangar Day, with the exception of the cost for the Zenair Banquet (dinner) on Friday evening. Check the official website for the latest updates and schedule. We should be ready to publish a schedule by the end of this month. Please contact us if you have ideas, requests or capabilities to make the fall 2010 Open Hangar and Fly-In Gathering both a fun and educational event. Is there a special seminar, workshop or activity that you'd like us to hold? Let us know...
A note about accommodations: Local hotels fill up quickly as we near the Open Hangar date. Make your reservation now if you're planning to attend. There are more hotels in the general area, as well as camping sites. Click here for additional information on accommodations. We can help you to carpool if you are flying in and need a ride to and from a local hotel.
