Charging your IPAD while flying with Foreflight

When I built my Cruzer, I installed a dual USB port for charging my IPAD ( while in use) and for powering ADS-B portable, Stratus.  I have quickly discovered that the IPAD will not charge. The USB hub is putting out 5 volts @ 2.1 amps per socket.. I think that to recharge, or maintain a charge in flight, It must take around 7 amps. Has anyone come up with a solution to keep their tablets charged ?  I know it has an 8 hour battery, but keeping the charge up from the ships battery would be nice.…See More

Wiring the Cruzer

So while I await an answer from Zenith on my "elevator issue", I have moved on to other areas in the project. Can someone that has been before me help me with this. I am wiring the panel using the Composite Design Mini panel. Everything from the primary bus, and the avionics bus has been pretty simple. 18AWG does the trick for all these low draw items. I need help with the gauge wire needed for the other items. Master switch to battery relay, alternator switch to control, and back to the…See More

While waiting on my rudder kit, is there anyone in middle Georgia ( near Peach State Airport) that would let me sit in their 750 ?  I plan on building a 750 Cruzer, but before i take the big step and order the rest of the kit, I sure need to sit in or fly in a 750, one with adjustable seat option  (I'm 6'2"). I could certainly buy you lunch at the Barnstormer's Grill, and perhaps swap rides in your 750 and my J-3 Cub.See More

Matt,

Jon (Homebuilthelp) Is using an electric pump on his O200 powered cruizer. His wing tanks feed a header tank. Have you selected a prop yet?
