Gary,

Thanks for your reply. I would be very interested to see pictures of any baffling under the cowl. I'm using the Great Plains engine mount which maintains the thrust line (thus hanging the engine a bit on the low side)..am I correct in thinking that you're are also maintaining the spec thrust line (44.5 inches above the ground)?

Gary, I'm thinking of building a cowling similar to yours, for my 701/vw redrive aircraft. Is this arrangement effective at keeping the cylinder head temperatures down?
