Dynon D180 autopilot wallowing

Hi guys and gals, finally got my Pmag installed in place of my crapped out Right side Slick mag, all went well and back in the air.now I want to try and get my Dynon 180 autopilot working right. When I try to track a heading it wallows back and force. I’m using a SV42 for the roll, no pitch yet.i have the sensitivity on max (25) torque 100%I tightened up my aileron cables as tight as possible, the shear screw is not broken.seems to be a fair amount of play when the autopilot is on, on the…See More

OIL LEAK

So I thought my starter leak was source of my oil leak. Well It's not the only culprit. I hate oil leaks, and I know 0-200's are notorious for leaking. On my cylinder #4, thats the front cylinder on the pilot side.I have the cylinder base bolt, the top bolt in the 12;00 position, its leaking oil enough to stain the side of my cowling in a one hour flight.A little RTV over the bolt accomplished nothing. Tried to tighten or loosen bolt, doesn't seem to want to move.So before I try anything else,…See More

ADS-B installed

Posted on June 11, 2017 at 9:32pm 3 Comments

Installed a Skyguard ADS-B in and out system with AHRS
Install took two days, first day brackets and antennas.
Second day power, data, switch, breaker, cables.
Not a hard install, being a Amatuer radio operator probably helped. Don at Skyguard has great customer support.
Got an FAA report, all ok.
There are some great new products coming out there for experimental aircraft. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about doing your own install.
