This is the reinforced doubler that rivets to the step. I am holding the one for the other side of the float so you can get a good look at the one on this side clecoed and ready to rivet. ``YES`` the glue from hell even goes between this part and the float skin. The 3M Marine stuff cures over a couple days, but once you start to assemble the parts you must complete that section in 3 - 4 hours.

The visable rivet lines have been cleaned.. with acetone. Only way to get the 3M Marine Sealer off of anything...even your skin. Let it dry and its impossible to get off except with a chisel. 3M residue will probably buff off as I prepare the floats to paint or polish the aluminum if I don't paint them.
