Heat muff from Zenair FWF kit was upside down for this installation. Modified by cutting top bend off and riveting air scoop and bending other side over. Provided sealing and heat protection with fireplace window gasket.

Hi Jim.   Ive posted a couple more pics for my modified heat muff.  Hope that helps.

Not sure about your choke cable.  I had to reroute the cable a few times to get smooth operation between pull and firewall.   Seems to have a mind of its own but finally after numerous trial and error found a routing that allowed for decent ops.     The radius after the fire wall was my issue.

Victor,

I have the same heat muff. On the part you cut off, which I'm assuming is on the right in the photo, is that where you bent it over ? Is the part that is riveted on what you are calling the air scoop ? The right larger port I won't be using. Caleb said to leave it open as a scoop, but Nick said to block it off. I guess I'll block it off. When viewed from the pilot side, could you tell me which clock position the 2" port points toward ?

Thanks,     Jim
