Elevator and Stabilizer
Just added these parts to my growing list of 701 scratch built completions. Growing slowly but growing just the same. I plan to keep the aluminum bare and maybe polished but on a whim I painted the ends of the elevator and staibilizer black, kinda sets it off a little. I also added a small doubler to the end hinge brackets after exchanging info with another member of this list. Thanks for the input Champ.

I'm glad to see my original mod is getting some millage. With all due respect to Champ, since he is a good friend of mine, here is where the idea originated. There is also one other procedure that was changed at the same time, and that was to install the pin-bracket on the inside of the end rib. This way if ever something bad was to happen, it would not pop of the two small rivets that hold the bracket to the end rib.
