Hi Steven,

What happens if your nose wheel tire blows ? Will the propellor touch the ground then ?  If not, it shouldn't be a problem...

Also, having the tip of the prop close to the ground can damage it if your runway/taxiways are not asphalt (ie gravel).

If you bump the nosewheel on a bad landing, it will retract due to the bungee shock absorbing action, will it retract enough for the tip of the prop to touch the ground ???

My propellor tip ends level to the rim of the nosewheel (without the tire). So worst case scenario, if the tire undid itself from the rim, the propellor tip wouldn't still touch the ground. That wouldn't be a problem if my 701 was on float !!!

Check it out on your plane and save that propellor/engine !
