The primer is Duplicolor DAP 1690 self etching primer. I use the green because it looks like aircraft stuff, might get funny looks from some folks if you use the red, yellow, or gray.

Lovely flanging dies you've got for a birthday gift.

I am building a pair of 701 wings with new full nose ribs, and no slats. VG's are cut from excess aluminum T-bar left from a ceiling work.

a bientôt
Jean-René

HI Robert,

I'll be glad to talk to you Sunday evening. Trois Rivieres is sure a pretty area. I've flown in there twice in the past 6 months. Nice people at the airport. Maureen and the line guys took good care of me. Was just up there three weeks ago. They put me in a big heated hangar for the day. Your snow was really high and pretty. I liked the resturaunt at the airport too except that I don't speak or read French so needed help with the selection of food. A friendly fellow told us what it all said in English so that I could pick something. I was flying a Socata TBM850. I'm a corporate pilot and that is my day job.

Robert,

I like the airplane much better without the slats. If you don't need the very last bit of STOL out of her that the slats provide I would leave them off and go with VG's. Why don't you call me if you like some night. 937-773-9384 I'd be glad to talk to you about them.
