Toilet Bolt Static port

5/16" toilet seat bolt drilled thru. Ran a die nut and threaded shank to head. Turned down end for hose barb.cost = $2.37, and I have a spare bolt!

The bolt is made from nylon, and in addition to methane gas resistance it has the following properties:

Nylon Resistance:

Nylon Quick Facts:
  • Excellent resistance (no attack) to Oils, Bases and THF
  • Good resistance (no attack) to Solvents, Formaldehyde and Alcohols
  • Limited resistance (moderate attack and suitable for short term use only) to Dilute Acids
  • Poor resistance (not recommended for use with) Phenols, Alkalis, Iodine and Acids
  • Maximum Temperature: 210°F 99°C
  • Minimum Temperature: -94°F -70°C 
  • Autoclavable: No
  • Melting Point: 420°F 216°C
  • Tensile Strength: 5,800 psi
  • Hardness: R92
  • UV Resistance: Good
  • Translucent
  • Rigid
  • Specific Gravity: 1.13

What is the Ultra Violet resistance of the plastic the bolt is made of? Will it stand up to direct sunshine or will it break up after a while? You might want to check on that............ Other than that, clever idea and nicely executed.
