Flats

Went to hangar yesterday and was greeted with two flat tires on my 701. Nose wheel and right front main. Right front main had a tube put in about 2 months ago and nose wheel has been fine for over a year now. anybody out there having issues with the Matco combos. Left main and nose wheel are still tubeless. 20 hours in and these are the only issues.

first flight

Today N5909C flew for the first time. aside from a slight trim issue, she flew beautifully!. For those of you still building, stay at it. it is worth every second of the time you are putting in to it!

Ready for flight!

3 1/2 years of building has come to a successful end as CH701 'N5909C" received her airworthiness certificate today. I can say that I have joined all of those that went before me in celebrating this fantastic feeling that I am sure will only be surpassed by flying her for the first time.

Impatience turned upside down.

As I have gone from building to assembling, and from home to the airport, I have found myself to be at a new place in this experience. The building part of this always seemed somewhat frantic and even sometimes scary when you realize you are building something that you will eventually strap your butt into and and defy gravity with. I have flown for years, however it has always been in a "certificated" airplane from pipers to cessnas, to mooneys. The little tiny bit of trepidation has been… Continue

I felt like the energizer bunny today.... of course I had major help and support from my best friend in the world.... My wife. It makes… Continue

The hangar Gods.........

After two years and starting off at number 92, the planets have aligned and I just signed the lease on my T-Hangar that I take possesion of on March 1st. This is really good on alot of fronts. I am just getting ready to paint (not in the Hangar), and will begin final assembly which is pretty much impossible in my garage. My wife is finally losing patience with decor de aviation. We have wings in the living room, slat and flaps in the office, instrument panel in the dining room, and her car hasnt… Continue
