Video Requests?

I had shot a video with cockpit audio showing how I do slow flight, stalls, more.

Plugging in the cable should have been on the checklist.

I am planning on "re-shooting". Any requests regarding my cockpit\701 operations?

Any other requests?

Dear fellow builders,

Winter has once again set in once again in Pennsylvania. The geese are back by the thousands. All the abandoned quarries are wall-to-wall geese. Living in a cement producing area, quarries provide safe haven from coyotes, fox and stray cats. Each morning like a living cork screw they leave in search of winter wheat, corn and bean fields. For some reason the first stop is my strip. There they hold court. I cannot identify the leader, or do they have a pa system,…

Honda Fit Engine Conversion Update #2

Raven Honda Fit Engine  Conversion(Pt. 2)

We're now on:  'How do we plan to optimize and streamline the auto engine to aircraft process' from our initial outline below.

Come New Years we enter our 19th year of converting auto engines for aircraft.  After doing both Reduction Drive Kits and Complete FWF Engine packages and working with a lot of great builders of all different skill sets, my number one observation of the homebuilt aircraft build process is that if you as a…

Many Thanks!

All...  Perhaps this has been said before... most probably.  I want to express my appreciation to this site and the builders and flyers who populate it for posting tips, pictures and ideas for improving my 701 as I progress toward completion.  I have copied many of the modifications and suggestions for strengthening the airframe  Anytime I feel like putting my tools down and walking away for awhile, I check out the latest on the site and my attitude changes immediately for the better.…

The $47 Dollar Electric PreHeater

Last week the Seattle area became unseasonably cold. During the past three years that the 7-Oh-Fun has been flying we had not seen temps in the 20s.

Disclaimer: No warranty is implied and no liability is accepted. This sort of preheater will require supervision. Do not leave unattended.

What to do? If necessity is the mother of invention, then the Lowe's next to the airport was the father.

I found  the following…

Santa with a 701 Difference!

I guess that we are a bit like a 'sensible Santa' in our part of the world... we fly over the African Bush and look for communities that need some health education and then drop them a package!  (no chimney, no reindeer, no toys)... our Rotax 912iS powered 701 works really hard... and today we dropped over 100 packages to rural communities - some which have never had even a motorcycle to them!…
