I saw in a discussion from, I think 2011?, someone was talking about upholstery and said something to the effect of "you can see what I'm talking about on my builder page". I clicked on his name, but that just showed me his discussions and posts. How do you find people's builder pages? In particular, I'm looking for anyone who has recorded/videoed/photo-logged the building of their CH640.

Hi George,

Could you share the name of the builder and I can take a look? Thanks.

Check out post number 7 (including the opening post) here:

http://www.zenith.aero/forum/topics/seat-construction?commentId=260...

Jim Derickson says to check out his "builder page". What does that mean? His profile page possibly? His profile page has a BUNCH of photos. I suppose he could mean that, but I thought there was a feature on this site where people recorded (through the used of a photo journal/blog) construction progress on their planes. Sort of like this:

As mentioned by others, some builders use the Blog section whereas others use the Photo Album. For Jim Derickson, if you click on his photo in that post (not his name, which will open his discussions) it will open his profile. There, you can click on Photo Albums on the left under his photo (or Blog if the builder has an active blog) you can see his builder page/album. Also, if you click his name and open his discussions, on the top bar where the Search By This Author box is, there is a View Discussions Replied to that can be changed to View Discussions Started and if the builder has a build log thread you can see it there.

Great info! Thanks!

Assuming you have not already tried it, do a google search using the query

site:zenith.aero upholstery

This will restrict the search to the zenith.aero site. If you select the images tab on the search page you can see pictures from the zenith.aero site that might jog your memory for what you are looking for.

I'm not necessarily interested in upholstery (although I am), this was more of a site navigation question. If there ARE such things as "builder pages", I want to know how to find them.

There’s a My Plane tab I used as a builder log on this site.  It is a profile page. I’m not aware of a unique Builder Page on this site, but some folks establish a blog on this site to document their build.

Interesting, so, when I click on your name, this is what I get. It looks similar to what mine looks like when I click on the "my plane" tab, except mine asks if I want to start a blog, or post some pictures, or an album. I don't see any choices on yours, just a long list of posts. Do you think they are the same?

As I mentioned in a reply to another message on this thread, clicking a builder's name and profile photo take you to two different locations. I know you've read it George but for the sake of other builders, here is a quick repeat:

Clinking a builder's photo will open their profile. There, if you click on Photo Albums on the left under the builder's photo (or Blog if the builder has an active blog) you can see his builder page/album.

Clicking a builder's name will a list of discussions they have contributed to. On this page, on the right of the the top bar (where the Search By This Author box is) there is a View Discussions Replied to that can be changed to View Discussions Started and if the builder has a build log thread you can see it there.
