Well done Allan, great news!
The Rotax 912S makes the CH750 a delightful, light and fun bird to toss around the sky. Your really going to enjoy it. Congrats on the first flight.
Thanks this is the first STOL plane I have flown and it is sure going to be fun

Hello my name is Luigi from ITALY. Congratulations for your first flight. I started the construction of a 750. The engine is Rotax 912 100 HP .. I would like to know if the plane is good, if you have problems with  speed. I know two Italians who are two CH 750 and are disappointed by the performance speed of CH 750, can you halp me ?  thanks Luigi

Hi Luigi

Yes it is not a fast plane but I never thought it would be,

I cruise at 70-75kts and it climbs at 500-750 fpm with 2 up and 750-1000 fpm 1 up

I have a wooden prop 70" x 60" but i think it might need a different prop so over the next few months I will be looking into props

Over all I am very happy with the 750 it is a great plane for low and slow flying

cheers

Allan

Hi Luigi, Yeah they are definetly not speed demons, but that is the price you pay for 200 foot take-offs and landings and insane climb angles!  Zen says 100 mph but I think that is stretching it...maybe with a good tailwind?

I'm not in it for speed either though, I want something that can land on a dime and is tough as nails since I'm in the great Northern Canadian wilderness.  I plan on putting it on amphibs as well so I doubt I'll get more than 80 mph out of her.  No rush, I'll just enjoy the scenery!!  :D
