Just a short, in-flight video taken by my wife on her first cross-country flight in our 601XL. We flew to PMH, Portsmouth, OH, in the Applachian foothills for lunch at their airport restaurant. We were cruising at 125 mph indicated at 2750 RPM on the Jabiru consuming 4.25 GPH.

Tim, I went to flight school at Southern Illinois University back in the 80's and remember doing one of my PPL cross country legs to SIkeston. I had throwed rolls at Lambert's only once, though. I will be flying back into Carbondale (MDH) in my 601XL next Thursday to visit with my professors.

Cool, Thanks! If you're ever over in Missouri, fly in to Sikeston (KSIK) and call over to Lambert's for good county cooking. They will come and pick you up and take you in the back door for instant seating! Highly reccommended. Oh and it is definitly in flatland.

Tim, it is called the Skyline Family Restaurant and I would classify it as a "burger joint." The food was good, but it is the location, like all airport restaurants, that makes it great. I am told that they have good biscuits and gravy for breakfast. The airport is a little funky to land at. There are high hills on downwind and it looks like you are skimming the tree tops at pattern altitude. Then on base to final, the land drops off to below runway altitude and than ramps back up. Hilly country for us flatlanders.

Nice video. How about a restaurant review? I'm always looking for nice places to fly to and EAT!
