Views from the Zenith Aircraft workshops at the 2019 U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, Florida. Despite wind, rain, and cold weather, we had a good time hosting the hands-on workshops, especially the "Kids Can Build" workshops on the last day!
Roger and Steve flew the Zenith STOL CH 750 Super Duty 1,200 miles to Sebring from the Zenith Aircraft kit factory in Mexico, Missouri (leaving in snow and returning to freezing temperatures). Many Zenith builders and prospective builders were able to go up for a demo flight the the Super Duty at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, Florida.
The rudder assembly workshop introduces participants to building an all-metal kit aircraft, and is similar to the monthly workshops held at the Zenith Aircraft kit factory in Mexico, Missouri: http://zenithair.com/events.htm

Flying the STOL CH 750 Super Duty to northern Florida

Departing Sebring in the Zenith STOL CH 750 Super Duty (SD) and flying north to Crystal River following a successful week at the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, Florida (piloted by Roger with Steve from the Zenith Aircraft kit factory in Mexico, Missouri).
Check out the UnPanel repositionable display in this prototype CH750SD.
While a very effective STOL (short take-off and landing) aircraft, the CH 750 SD is also effective on cross-country flights, cruising easily at 105 mph. The trip to Sebring from the Zenith Aircraft factory is over 1,000 miles each way.

AVweb Builds an Airplane (Part)

At the 2018 Sport Aviation Expo in Sebring, Zenith Aircraft invited AVweb to build a rudder for its new kit, the CH 750 Super Duty. Two hours late, we were done. Here's Paul Bertorelli's video report on the project. After pulling rivets, we flew the airplane.

Zenith Aircraft Rudder Workshop Returns to the Sebring 2018 Sport Aviation Expo

After a successful launch last year, the kit aircraft building workshops from Zenith Aircraft are returning to the 2018 Sebring Sport Aviation Expo in central Florida, January 24 - 27, 2018.
The hands-on workshops allow first-time builders to learn all about building their own airplane from a kit, allowing participants to learn about the required skills and tools by actually constructing their own rudder tail section. A demo flight will also be offered to all workshop participants. There is no cost for the actual workshop, but participants are required to purchase the rudder kit that they will assemble at the workshop. The assembly tools will be provided.
Plan now to come to the Sebring Sport Aviation Expo, and learn all about building and flying your own airplane! This trip will make an excellent getaway for you and your spouse or a friend. Spend a couple of productive days learning to build the rudder, meet with fellow aviation enthusiasts, and visit the Sebring Sport Aviation Expo in sunny Florida!
