Zenith Aircraft's Sebastien Heintz and Roger Dubbert go flying in the popular Zenith STOL CH 750 Super Duty to discuss the latest news and updates from Zenith Aircraft, including details about their upcoming trip to Lakeland, Florida early next month for a hands-on workshop class and Zenith fly-in gatherings (more below), followed by a short discussion about last week's announcement from kit plane manufacturer Van's Aircraft: "We certainly hope that they have a quick recovery... with the issues that they're working through."

Zenith's Sebastien Heintz chats with Jon Humberd about flying his "Super 701" at the National STOL demonstrations held at Sun 'n Fun 2022 in Paradise City.
Jon Humberd flies a "stock" Zenith STOL CH 701 "Sky Jeep" light sport utility kit airplane, equipped with a 130-hp UL350iS engine.
Jon Humberd demonstrated a 25-ft takeoff and a 49-ft landing landing in his "Super 701" at the National STOL demos, in the same aircraft (in the exact same configuration) that he flew 5.5 hours non-stop from his farm in eastern Tennessee, demonstrating the outstanding capabilities of the Zenith STOL CH 701 light aircraft design.

Sun 'n Fun's Aerospace Center for Excellence (ACE) builds a Zenith CH 750 Cruzer

Andy Ovans, Maintenance Manager for the Aerospace Center for Excellence at Lakeland, Florida exhibited their “Spirit of Lakeland” Zenith 750, a group project that brought together high school students from the Central Florida Aerospace Academy and ACE staff mentors to complete the aircraft for use by the Lakeland Aero Club. The desired end result required some custom work and modification to bring the kit up to the spec, as well as the continuing practice and education of the high school students completing the plane.
The Zenith was built to be a lightweight, hand-controlled aircraft perfect to support Able Flight, a program that brings flight training to students with disabilities that would preclude traditional control layouts. Ovens says the Spirit of Lakeland is just the start, assuming that he has his way.
