I see a question on "TIA's" video regarding "speeds" and "numbers".

The 2016 HB STOL competition at Omaka, New Zealand was held in a "testing" crosswind which shortened the distances over last year when a slight tailwind developed.

Take off speed is not known as it was done by "feel" - but as I slipped off the second notch of flap at about 50ft the asi was still in the yellow zone below 30kts but the angle of the pitot tube with the high angle of attack was no doubt having an affect.  It will take off before the ASI has time to register.

Approach with full 30 degrees of flap was 38/40kts, but late final and round out was done with power and feel without looking inside at the panel.

ZMX's results were take off: 17.6m, landing: 29.6m, my best properly measured results yet.
