At 1141 empty that doesn't leave much useful load unless your alone in the plane or fly with half tanks . Do you have a gross of 1530 in the USA on floats?

Too be clear, I took and video and posted it but it’s not my plane.  The owner, Fred, “does not do computer”.

Ed, the test pilot is not a float plane pilot but did a great job.  He flies all kinds of aircraft and is a flight instructor and aircraft mechanic.

Ed had only good things to say about how the plane flew.  Nothing about the subject of drag came up in the conversation.

very nice, did you notice a lot of drag?

Hi   the plane flew straight basically hands off in level flight to soon to tell all flight issues. Empty weight with floats and the 0320 engine with cato prop was 1141lbs. Balance and lift off was right on. Landing was very good with no issues. We will do a lot of testing before any water landings. So far there are no issues with front castors keep them greased.

That is AWESOME!!!! Please do a write-up of how this thing handles. I'm looking at building the floats next! Any issues with the front casters? The nyloids were known to seize up from the friction!

Great looking plane on those big floats. Congratulations?
What is your empty weight including the floats?
