First flight in my Corvair powered Zenith Ch 650 was yesterday evening, May 4, at Shelbyville Municipal Airport. What a blast! She flew great with no surprises. Trimmed up nicely. Thanks to my great first flight ground crew and of course my wife for supporting me thru the build journey. On to flying off my Phase 1!

Outstanding, Dave !  With your superior workmanship, there was no doubt it would fly great.

Hope to be joining you in the air sometime this year.

Thanks for the congrats guys!

Sebastien .. yep, excellent tip! I used that 55 page checklist thoroughly to get ready for both the airworthiness inspection and first flight. It helped me find several things I would have missed. II highly recommend it to all builders. I'll definitely revisit that document for inspections.

Thanks //Dave

Congratulations!

As you fly off your Phase 1 hours, please remember to make use of the 55-page checklist to thoroughly pre-flight and inspect your aircraft.

Enjoy your airplane!
