Beautiful weather here in Indiana today. Took the day off and added another nearly 3 three hours to my Phase 1 flight testing. Experimented with camera locations attached to canopy. This one gave the best over the nose view but I needed to cover up the white GPS antenna to cut the reflection off the canopy. The sticky on the panel is to remind me to pull carb heat when reducing power .. something I was not in the habit of since the Evektor Sportstar I'd been renting did not require it.

Greg, I found my plane does handle very much like the Evektor sportstar. This is originally why I chose to get current again in that particular light sport aircraft. Flying the sportstar for the past couple years and the transition time I had with Roger at Zenith in Mexico really help prepare me for my first flight last May. My max cruise speed with the Corvair with the prop currently pitched at 8.5 degrees is approximately 115 mph. I usually fly around 100 mph though to keep the fuel consumption below 5 gph. //Dave

Nice Dave.  Carb heat is in my checklist on the Evektor I am flying.

It does make me want to fly!
