Viking promised the DUC propeller company to test their Carbon fiber blades and hub system.  We have now made one flight and so far so good.  Initial impressions are:

  • Extremely light weight due to the "forged" carbon fiber hub.  
  • Very low vibration due to thin rubber coating of blade shanks
  • Good performance from only 70"   -   145 mph sea-level CH-750 CruZer speed at 75% power
  • Availability of variable pitch propeller using push-rod through gearbox top gear.
