Is it time to quit working on it and recycle the metal???? At least I found out before I ordered any more parts!! I just read about it in Pacific Flyer May Issue. Interesting no notification from Zenith Air.

I stand corrected about the notification from Zodiac! Mark, thanks for your input. You present good points, but the attack was unnecessary.

The Wright Brothers & Lindbergh are looking down on us right now and thinking what weak minded individuals we have become. "Et tu Brutus". I went back and read all the NTSB reports on Zenith, Zodiac, Zenair, CH601, & 601XL for the last two decades. The word "Flutter" is not stated in any of them. Not once. One witiness on the ground a mile away saw the the a/c shacking in one report. Well hell, The prop, the engine or a whole host of other things can shack an a/c. In the U.S.A., the last eight reports of accidents of a 601XL were weather, weight and balance, or engine failures for the most part. Two pilots never got passed their forty hours of test flights (pilot failure). Another hit a tower and the most recent hit a mountain. There are far more 701s reported of accidents then 601s. So, why aren't you calling for 701s to be grounded. The bottom line is anytime an a/c goes down the we need to blame somebodyelse. We avoid take responsabilty in that way. I built my a/c, I PIC my a/c and if I crash I will take responsiblity for the accident. BY THE WAY, I read the Zenith (Europe) write up about cable tension last winter. But then again, I am on top of my maintaince. "Experimental" means just what the placards states when you get in. 700 hours to build, 320 hours fling and another 100 hours of maintaince is an on going experiment. Willy, sale your wing because it is the safest thing you can do for aviation. You should not fly w/ the Eagles. Stay on the ground w/ the chickens.
