I completed the first flight of N701YB today.  All went well and it was a great experience.  I was able to perform the first flight with a lot of confidience because I spent 5 hours flying with Roger Dubbert in the Zenith 701 factory demonstrator last Sunday.  I would recommend to anyone who does not have time in type to fly with Roger before you make your first flight.  The CH701 demonstrator fly's great and I was able to get a good feel for how a 701 should fly.  Roger showed me some techniques for takeoff and flap actuation that never would have occurred to me on my own.   I lost track of how many takeoffs and landings I did with Rodger, but it was time well spent.

Congrats on your first flight.   I was going to second your comments, but I was beat to it.  I'll third it? I still feel like the best decision I made was to ask for Zenith's and Roger's help to keep things as safe as possible.

Congratulations!

I second what you are saying about flying with Roger. That advice applies to the 601/650 series as well!
