Hello All, simple question, how did you guys debur and corr X the inside of the pre-molded elevator trim tab?? It's tight.
Secondly, should I prime the hinge barrel too?
Thanks Aaron

Aaron,
I placed a flat file in the trim tab along the inside edge that needed deburring.
Then I shook the trim tab back and forth for a long while. That was all I could think of.
I did use zinc phosphate primer on the hinge.

I just finished the tail and am now working on the slats and flaperons. Wings are next :-)

Good luck,
John

Hi Aaron,

Being a scratch builder, I had to make the trim tab part... The problem is the same (factory or plans built) the part can't be deburred easily; especially the holes in the folded section (underneath). I did deburr the top holes and lightly sanded between the 2 surfaces - Not much else you can do really.

Primer on the hinge barrel will likely go away as soon as it will swing open/close; I wont do it on mine.

Regards,

Norm
