Arizona 601/650 Pilots...Question
My 601XL-B is now signed off by FAA to begin phase I testing, however, the flight school in Prescott that I was taking instruction at decided to get out of fixed-wing training. Does anybody recommend another flight school/instructor with an "LSA" in Arizona, that I could contact for finishing my "Sport Pilot" lic.?

Short of going out-of-state to finished the "Sport Pilot lic." other alternative is to change over to "full" Cert. which doesn't make any sense for me, (flying my 601 as a LSA). That becomes an expensive waste of money and time.

I'm out of Chandler. I'm not aware of anyone in Arizona. At one time there was one at Stellar Airpark in Chandler, but the recession got to them and they are not out of business.

I prepared for the first flight of my XL by getting a week of transition training with Buzz Air in Lawrenceburg, TN. I think they also have an XL near Reno, NV.
Took a week off from work, and stayed in a hotel. Was worthwhile, and had a lot of fun.
It's worth taking time off and traveling to get yourself relevant training by an experienced XL pilot, in an actual XL.
