Another Fun Factory Workshop

We "graduated" another class of proud new aircraft rudder builders today:

Despite the apparent slowdown in the economy, this group was proof positive that there's still optimism out there and that folks still want to have fun building airplanes. The full workshop (12+ rudder tail assemblies of both STOL and Zodiac designs) included six husband / wife teams, plus four father / son teams, and was a lot of fun (even for the organizers). The pre-drilled parts and skins have made the assemblies easier and quicker to put together, especially for first-time builders.

My wife (Jody) and I had a great time at the rudder workshop and appreciated the support from Sebastian, Roger, and Caleb; as well as from the other workshop participants. Jody set all but one of our rivets (my token) and upon our return home she looked up the "Rosie the Riveter" picture in our Norman Rockwell book. So now as soon as I sell my C-172G pride and joy, we'll be getting on our way to fulfilling my life-long dream of building an experimental.

Great time was had by all! My wife and I came away from this workshop with the confidence to proceed with this project...we can do it! All of the factory staff were there to help and answer any questions. If you are even just thinking about building an airplane then do this workshop.
