STOL CH 750 FOLDING WING OPTION INSTALLATION

I would like to hear from any builder regarding his experience in trying to install the folding wing option during the construction of the CH-750. I am aware that it would be easier to add the option, once the plane was built, however I have not as yet reached that point, and installing the various components during the build, would make for a neater installation.

Once the installation is completed, I also see…

Need help for an engine mount

I am looking for help from an A&P or an experienced builder for my motor mount. I made a jig from an original factory 0200 engine mount, but with the coming of the new 750-2, I am now considering a slighty more powerful engine. I am looking into a Contintal or Lycoming engine between 100 to 150 horse power, and was wondering if anyone knows if there is any simularity with these mounts in as much as the bolt patterns concerned, or if each and every… Continue

Wanted, Recommendation from anyone with experience in chrome moly tubing

I am in the process of setting up my shop to turn out a few engine mounts, along with the cabin main frames for my 701 & 750 build. I already have all the necessary welding and cutting equipement that is needed, along with a complete assortement of full length chrome moly tubing from 1/4" up to the 2" in size. Tools, no aircraft hanger should be without

After reading the " Top Ten dissapointements in Aircraft building " I was motivated to post the following descriptions, of the assorted tools found in most of the homebuilders shops.

Enjoy,,,

Common Hanger Tools Defined

Birthday gift

Today is my 65th birthday, and look what I just got.

A few months ago I purchased and delivered to a buddy of mine, a set of rough cut aluminum block's in a cylinder shape to make up a set of flanging dies. Well this morning I got a call to go over and pick up the finished pieces. However, when he learned that it was my birthday today, he would not accept any compensation for the labour, and offered them to me as a gift. Talk about a… Continue
