I'd anxiously await your comments regarding any differences noticed after changing your scat tube to radiator hose.  It's on my to do list.  My number 6 cyl seems to be  running rich only at full throttle settings.

Also, what's your main and needle jet size?

Thanks for your comments. About the extra trim on the elevator...it.s actually permanent and I still have it. I also have a hard time trimming for landing... I can't set full flaps and trim it correctly. Congratulations on your first flight!

Good luck Tom!! As you know now, the 601 is an easy airplane to fly. Just be easy on the pitch control during your first takeoff to avoid PIO and you will do just fine.

Thomas, thanks for sharing the details of the your dual in the 601XL. That's great that you were able to complete the 5 hours in one day. I'm looking forward to making the trip up there. Good luck on your first flight following your upcoming inspection! Fly safe!//Dave

Hi Thomas, just read your note about the dual received at Tulip City. I have spoken with them recently and also will be planning a trip North from Indy. Who was your instructor and how did you schedule the 5 hours, i.e., were they able to accommodate you in one entire weekend for example? Curious how the dual went. Thanks for any tips you can provide .. my email address is dgardea@gmail.com

Thanks,

Dave
