Changing fuel lines on 601 XLB

I am due to change out the rubber fuel lines in my 601 XL.  I am going with SS PTFE lines.  When opening the wing how much do I need to open?  I'm assuming the leading edge gets de-riveted - All the way off or just a portion and work in the tight space?  Any words of wisdom, other than be careful, to not over-bend or kink the leading edge skin?  Does the wing root rubber boot need to come off as well?  The finger screen is 1/4 NPT female to mate to the new lines - correct?See More

601 XLB - top rudder hinge rivets loose.

601-XLB - 600 hrs - top rudder hinge rivets loose. Noticed a bit of play lately - barely noticeable by pushing up on the bottom of the rudder at the tip. I thought it was a bit of wear at the hinge bolt. It seemed much worse today. Just took a closer look and the rivets holding the top hinge to the rudder are loose - noticeable movement between the two.  Red X - Code 3 - Grounded. So now the rudder needs to come off - I think.  Wondering if I can replace the rivets without removing it.  Do it…See More

CH 601 XLB flap deflection angle

I am going through my first annual with this plane and I am looking for the proper flap deflection angle. I found a reference in the AMD from July 09 (page 3-10) that states the flap range should be changed from 30 to 20 degrees. I currently have 30 degrees and at that setting I do not have enough trim to counter the nose down effect so I don't use "full" flaps very often. Do most of you guys use the 20 degree configuration?See More
