Run in speed

I am planning on putting a UL 350iS in my CH601. The manual says to maintain 80% power for the first 15 hours. Could someone with a UL 350iS in a CH601 or 650 comment on the airspeed that results in?See More

emergency landing

I had an engine failure in flight a few days ago.  We were about 3 minutes out of the field and about 1200 feet AGL when there was a loud pop and a moderate level of vibration started. A liquid appeared on the canopy but it did not look like oil. A quick 180 was done and power reduced to the lowest level to maintain altitude  until we were with in glide distance of the airport (perhaps 45-60 seconds). An emergency was declared and we landed downwind in the opposite direction. The Honda engine…See More

Hi Mark,
I read in a post someplace that you are running a Jab 3300 with the Rotec TBI?
I was just getting ready to go with the same thing, I'd really like your thoughts on it. Personally, I'd like to pull the propeller back a bit and torque the motor a bit more than I can with the Bing.

Hi Mark, Awhile ago you talked about sealed bearings you used for your rudder and you had pictures on your website photo.hubbles.com.  I tried going there to look at your photos but was not able to.  Is that site still active or do you have the pictures posted anywhere else?  If not, could you email some of those pictures (and maybe a discription of what you did).  I would like to permantely fix my rudder play problem also.  Thanks Randy Ferri, rpf@wi.rr.com

Mark I am interested in your use of the TBI - 40 Throttle Body injector and how well it is working for you. I am thinking of using it on a Corvair engine in my CH 650. I am ready to install my fuel intake system and I would like to use something beside a Marvell-Schelber-MA3.Rotec' s Web Site list the Corvair engine as a possible user of the TBL 40.
