My first Post!!

Posted on October 14, 2012 at 6:49pm 1 Comment

Hello All... I recently attended the rudder work shop at the Zenith factory in September. I came home and started and finished my workbench along with cleaning the garage in preparation of ordering the rest of the tail kit...... and having Zenith send my completed rudder so I can hang it on the wall!!

I'm in NE Ohio an eastern suburb of Cleveland...let me know if anybody is in the area

looking forward to the building experience and keep up with all the forums etc

John

Hi John!

I'm Tim Kinney from Northern Ca. I've been working ,on and off on a 750. My son and I have completed the tail, control surfaces and left wing. I recently restarted flight training after a 22 year pause. I should be done with the private pilot soon and will be motivated to continue with my airframe. The big mental block I keep running into is the engine.

I put out about $7700 in addition to the $3500 I already had into the corvair engine and I get only some of the parts and then no response from 2 of the prime suppliers. I decided to concentrate on flying to relieve my frustration. If I still haven't gotten any results from the suppliers after I have completed the private I will sell all the parts and put the money into avionics. I will then pursue a more reliable engine choice.
