The Nieuport 11 will have to wait. The Sky Jeep has arrived.

Elenor is relieved because the N11 was only a single-seater.

Well, Walt.  I do have a brand new unbuilt 750 in a crate, and you never know where the wings could end up. —Ted

Walt,

Along the lines of aircraft safety, I feel obligated to point out a high-wing's most conspicuous design flaw: the fuel fillers. Have you see these poor pilots risking their lives every day, climbing on stools, ladders, wobbly children and wives, to put a little go-juice in their planes? It has to be the most perilous operation in aviation. Whoever decided to put the filler necks way up there must not have been thinking things through. I don't know how long ths nonsense has been going on, but considering all the other shortcomings of high-wing airplanes, I would suggest an immediate alternative like re-attaching the wings below the pilot where they should be.

Wow, this is an interesting read, never realized this. If I had a brand new unbuilt 750 in a crate, I think I would really consider putting the filler neck down by the tires to avoid this hazard.

Thanks, Paul. Sometimes she's my flight companion also.

Hi Joe,  Elenor faithfully supervised the entire build of my 601 and hopefully will do the same for my 750.  Walt complains that the 601 knocks over all his favorite pucker bushes, so I had to do something.  —Ted

Ted, Finally planning to join the “dark side” ie finding shade under the wing?... Enjoy the build! If you take your time, you will probably still beat Walt into the air..;-) BTW, you have a good looking loyal pal there.
