I started April 20th 2009, aside from the three month vacation to Florida, it took me 13 months to complete. It has a continental O-200A engine.

Hi Ben,

Hope you are still monitoring this thread.  I also am planning to install a Continental engine which I already have in my 750 project.  Did you find it difficult to keep the engine within normal temp ranges re the need for the extra holes in the front cowl?

HI BEN
JUST GOT MY KIT AND BELIEVE I WANT TO USE THE 0-200 FOR SIMPLICITY HAD ONE IN A C-150 THAT WAS GREAT. YOU HAVE THREE HOLES IN THE COWLING, DID THIS SOLVE THE COOLING ISSUE IF YOU HAD ONE AND WHAT WAS THE TEMP OUTSIDE LIKE WHEN YOU WERE FLYING. I LIVE IN CALIFORNIA AND IT GETS HOT. ALSO WHAT PROP ARE YOU USING? WHAT KIND OF CRUISE DO YOU GET AND AT WHAT RPM? LOOKS GREAT AND SCRATCH BUILT WOW
THANKS CHRIS BROWN
