Definitely a learning curve to applying vinyl! I was lucky to have an experienced helper to show me some technique. Dudley (the dog) was not overly impressed.

I'm thinking of a white paint base coat and clear coat, with a vinyl wrap over it. Could be anywhere between about 25% to 75% in vinyl. It really depends on what sort of designs they can come up with, compared with my bank account balance at the time. What I end up building into the plane (engine, avionics, etc.) and how much all that ends up weighing will be another factor. The plans are always grand in the beginning, but invariably end up being tempered by budget and weight. I'll probably end up with a flat white airplane with duct tape N numbers, knowing my luck. LOL!

Bob, these are color accents to improve visibility to others, no clue on the weight, took us approx 3 hrs from prep to layout and execution. I likely would not ever vinyl wrap a whole aircraft...
