Push rods are installed! I still have the balance cable installed to reduce the load on the bearings.

Thanks.   I am just starting rebuild and install of FWF WW Corvair engine.  Upgrade looks great. Thanks again.  GASTON

Gaston,

I almost forgot.  I also had to remake the upper and lower brackets holding the control arm.  The factory spec'ed hole location did not leave enough clearance for the flange bearing.  I have to move the hole out 3-4 mm.

Gaston,

Here is the only print I needed for the upgrade.  I CNC'ed my arms but one could easily make them by hand.  The rest of the parts were one offs.  The control arm extension in the pic above was made b/c the factory holes were too close together for the rod end to bolt up.  For the push rods I used two 8 ft sticks of 1 1/2" .035 wall 6061-t6 tubing.  That tubing and the bearings came from Wicks.  Not sure where to buy the correct size push rods end from.  I had to make mine.  You might call Van's and see what they have.

Hope this helps.  Most of what I did was just an extension of someone else's great idea.  If I missed any detail you can't figure out just message me!

Looks great. Getting ready to replace single stick with duals.  Can you provide drawings, dimensions and parts used for aileron upgrade?  No sense in reinventing the wheel.  Thanks   Gaston Brawley
